did you have to call and scheduale your follow up?

So I just realized yesterday I still havent gone in for my 6 wk PP visit (shes just over 7 weeks) Im assuming I should call and scheduale it. Did you have to call or did they call you?

I had to call and schedule it.

(Actually, I just stopped by the office on the way to the car when we were being discharged, but it's the same principle.)

Yup, I had to call and schedule it. Kinda sucks, I feel like they should have it scheduled for you before you leave the hospital. I mean, if you had half a brain before your baby arrived, the rest of it certainly left you after bringing him or her home! Who can remember that sort of stuff?

I scheduled mine before I left the hospital same with LO's first dr appt too.

DH called and made the appt for me. I had mulitple follow ups with multiple drs, some that had to to be seen within a week of my release so the Monday after I was released(went home on a Sat) he made all the appts for me including my 6 week PP appt with OB.

ETA-had to call and make the appt when I had my first(vaginal birth) Once again, did it the Monday after I got released since that was when the office was open(I went home on Holy Thursday that time)

I made mine at my last appt before my rcs. I had to call after having Aidan

If you have a c/s, my ob office makes you come in at 2wks pp and 6wks pp. At 24wks, they make your pre-op (39wk appt), c/s, and 2wks pp appt. At the 2wk pp appt you make the 6wk pp appt.

Of course with DS1, I had to schedule it for almost 8wks pp b/c my faveortie OB was out of town. Then I had to call and reschedule it to 10wks pp b/c DS1 got swine flu. It wasn't a big deal since my incision looked awesome and really I was doing fine.
