Hormone Clean-up Aisle 21

Attention Home Depot Staff- We have a hormone clean up needed in Aisle 21.

I know there are a number of us who are trying to finish home renovations to get ready for the baby... so I figured I would share this story in case anyone else finds themselves in the same boat. (aka hopefully I am not the only crazy person!)

I'm not sure how your home renovation projects go but ours usually involve MANY trips to every home renovation store in town.  This particular trip happened at 9:00 pm with my husband, father, and father in law.  We needed to make decisions regarding our new stairs and while there were only three choices it was to many and I had a total hormonal meltdown.  Tears and all.   My father in law booked it out of the aisle and my dad and husband tried to talk me out of the store.  The more they tried to make things better the worse it got.  I swear people were turning into the aisle seeing the spectacle and walking away. This went on for a way to long.  The store closed and we left without any stairs.

Oh the hormone drama.

  • Oh no!!

I had a total meltdown like that last time when I dropped a bottle of nailpolish. It was awful!

  • ha I had one tonight too. I brought home leftovers and I told DH the big tupperware of food was for him and the tiny tupperware of desserts was for me. Of course he opened the tiny one of sweest and started chowing down and I snapped at him. Then I felt awful and went to apologize, that he could have them I was sorry I was being selfish and totally started crying. He was really nice and was like its no big deal I dont want you to be upset.
  • Right now I'm living with my future in-laws. That causes stress enough. Then:

We just had a family friend decide to drop in and stay with us (for who knows how long). I just bought a mixer (but the kitchen has no space for it). My FIL is supposedly starting to build the den this week (its been put off for 2 months and I can't put together the nursery until the den is finished). And where I work (in retail) just hit its high season.

Not only is the house crowded with people and construction and gadgets but I want to nest and work is hellishly busy. I'm expecting many more tearful nights from all the stress. Thankfully R is very supportive and we always have good talks about how to handle situations when I calm down.

  • No public melt-downs here so far, and hopefully I can keep myself in check...

...BUT, last night, hubby and I were playing some Modern Warfare 3 together...  well, I kinda suck, and he was poking a bit of fun at me for it, which was fine at first, until he kept doing it.  I was tired, and getting frustrated with the game, and he kept poking fun at my suckage, and I just totally broke down into tears!  Then I went to bed.

This morning we laughed about it, but last night I felt like poo!

    Thank goodness it's just hormones!!

  • This morning I was talking to a new woman at our church. She was talking to me about life in general and her experiences and I just welled up out of nowhere. I'm sure she thought I have some major issues going on!
