{quick IL vent} After 8 years with DH..

my IL's return from a trip to Ireland with a beautiful necklace for me that has a January birthstone in the middle.

My birthday is in December.

 

Are. You. Serious? 

But I guess this is better than the earrings they gave me for Christmas last year, when I have never had my ears pierced. At least I can wear the necklace.. I suppose.

    LOL.  Ummm....it's the thought that counts?  After 8 years that's definitely something they should know!  At least it's pretty.

    FWIW- I wear Tiny's birthstone on a necklace instead of my own.  Come to think of it I don't think I own anything with my birthstone in it.....

    That's awesome.  Maybe you could ask them to have the stone reset w/ your actual birthstone?  January is garnet, don't you like red?  ;)  Maybe they think red is your favorite color?

    Ditto.  They played that little snafu alllll wrong.  

    FWIW, my mom looooves my DH but cannot for the life of her remember his birthday.  At least before the boys were born.  :)
