Babies: 0 - 3 Months

MP question

Who didn't lose their MP? I know I still have a lot of time to lose mine, but I'm just wondering how common it is NOT to lose it before active labor starts.

Re: MP question

  • BTW I want to thank all of you ladies for being so helpful when I post questions on this board. Not all boards are as nice! I can't wait to join you in the next couple of weeks!

  • Nope, never happened for me. I also never got a bloody show or had my water break, but I did go into labor on my own so I guess none of it really matters. Your Halloween maternity pic is super cute by the way :)

  • I never saw anything that resembled a MP when I went into labor.  I went to hospital in AM and the nurse checked me a few times causing some red/brown blood but no MP. Then I got sent home and came back a few hours later 5-6 cm and 100% effaced, she was born 5 hours after that. Never saw my MP.

  • I lost mine at 3:30am and had my baby at 7:30pm, 4 days before my due date.
  • I had nothing...no MP, no bloody show, nothing.  I was out eating dinner and pigged out at the point that my contrax should have been 10 minutes apart...had no idea.  I only realized I was in labor when I started feeling like I had rectal pains 3 minutes apart...and I was already 5 cm dilated at the point I got to the hospital 1/2 an hour after that.
  • I didn't lose mine either.  My contractions started at 10:00 pm and I was fully dilated and ready to push by 2:00 am.  The doctor had to break my water and my bloody show came around 2:00 am.
  • I never did.  I noticed a little bloody/mucus (sp?) discharge during my induction once labor really started but nothing before.  I was so jealous of other nesties posting that they lost theirs lol.
  • Lost some of my mucus plug in parts, like a little here, a little there.  No bloody show, and I went into labor on my own.
  • at 41 weeks my water broke at 2 am, mucus plug came a few hours later.

    good luck!
