It's snowing here!! The Sunny Okanagan is getting it's first flurry today, and it looks like it's going to stick around, too. This is the earliest I remember it snowing here since I was a kid! Hubby and the puppy are excited about it, but I'm not! It means muddy paws tracked through my house every day now, since our yard isn't quite finished. And a few furniture projects will have to wait until spring now. Although, it does mean that I can pull out the soup pot and stock up on freezable containers and make enough soups to get us through Christmas and the rest of the winter! And I can start my Christmas baking soon, too!
Speaking of muddy paws, they're on my couch! Gah!!!
How's the weather for the rest of the country? I've heard of snow in Alberta and out east... Hope everyone is warm and comfy!
Re: Hey, how's the weather?
No snow here yet, Although I know that Calgary has had snow and possible Edmonton. DH went out on a rig job last week and about 2 hours east, there was a small amount of snow on the ground. Creeks around here are definitely freezing and also the ground. Which is I guess a good thing for the industry around here. Freeze the ground completely before the snow falls and acts as an insulator. Luckily the only thing left for us to do before the snow falls is DH needs to poop scoop.
All of our outdoor projects are done for this year, I can now worry about cleaning the house and being ready for LO. Although, it feels I can never keep up and there's only the three of us still. I can't believe we are heading into mid November. Christmas is SO close. Yum Yum! My mom will be flying in from Australia a week from our EDD, and I'm sure she will be more then happy to do some baking for us.
Well even though it has definitely cooled down, the sun is still shining!
Where's the rest of our fellow Canadians? How are yous doing? I'd love to hear how our KU Canadians are feeling. Well I hope.
