Recipe help

It's my teams turn to do "monthly munchies" for the staff at school.  We are going to do nachos and have an assembly line of the toppings.  I figure that since we aren't doing meat (too expensive) that we'll do both black beans and refried beans.  Do I need to do anything to them once they are out of the can other than heat them up?  I know that there are seasoned black beans, are those better for nachos?  (I'm soooo not a bean person, but figured that someone around here would know.)

Thanks!
Laura

Re: Recipe help

  • We always just use plain black beans in stuff (enchiladas, quesadillas, etc). I don't think you need to do anything.

  • I always add reciato and adobo to black beans. Both are made by Goya, reciato can be found in the freezer section at Publix and adobo is a blend of seasoning that can be found in the spice aisle. You could always make your own reciato (I do, it's easy) but if you don't normally eat beans buying it pre-made if probably best.
