potty chair for a tiny - michelleaxxo and others with petites

So I finally got DD a potty chair - I got the Fisher Price Frog one that was highly rated. I got it home and let her sit on it (clothed) and it looked (and she acted like) it was just so awkward. She's very very little, so I'm wondering if the seat is just too high/wide. I'm thinking that the small Bjorn seat might be better fitting as it's shorter, but it doesn't have the high back.

I'm wondering what other mama's with tiny kiddos have found successful? TIA!

  • We have that potty and had the same experience. DD has to spread her legs really wide to get on it or we have to put her on it. It was super cheap though so if she doesn't end up using it much, I won't feel too bad.
  • Loading the player...
  • For freestanding we use the little Bjorn one. As an insert, we use the Potty Patty (or Petite Pottete in public).
  • we have the boon one if you want to come over and see how she fits on it. (M hasn't used it yet - it is still in the box but we have it).
  • We have the BabyBjorn one, too.  Ours is the "bigger" one with the higher back but I think the actual seat part is the same size as the other version.

  • we have this no insert bjorn which I _think_ is a wee bit smaller than the ones with the inserts:

And we have a petite potette like mar :)

  • We have the sesame street Elmo potty and she fits on it perfectly. She didn't like the ones with a piece in the middle that she has to straddle.
