We're down to an unacceptable number of forks (8) and spoons (3??). I'd love not to use plastic at Thanksgiving which as it stands is right at 12 people. I'd love never to have to use plastic, but ya know... I don't want or need dinner and salad forks. Or teaspoons and soup spoons. So the sets at BB&B always seem like a waste.
Right now I'm thinking ACE Restraunt supply. You can get a pretty good deal on some of their patterns, $8-15 for a dozen forks.
I've looked at Marshalls and other places like that and I can't ever find enough of one pattern to make it work. Ideally I would like 2 dozen forks at least.
Do y'all have any other recommendations or ideas?
Re: Ideas for cheap flatwear/silverware?
I'll look again at Ikea but I think the last time I didn't like any of the patterns. Worth at try though. MUCH closer to us!
ETA: I think that's a no go. It's actually the tines on their forks I dislike. I want something more traditional.

I know that BBB does have a line of open stock flatware so you could just buy the pieces you wanted/needed. I don't think they have a lot of selection in patterns, but it's gotta be cheaper than buying a huge set you don't need.
We got ours at Macy's forever ago. I know it was relatively cheap - especially since they always have sales/coupons.
