I just realized you asked me about our home building-sorry I didn't reply sooner! Well, we started looking into building a year ago-last Sept was when we started looking at builders, etc. We broke ground on our new house in mid-May so it took a solid 6mos from start to finish with the house-I will say that this is long though-most houses can be done in 90 days. We chose a builder who is very small and family owned so its not like a huge builder that can slap up houses quickly. He was only doing our house right now and he focused his entire 6mos on just our house. But we knew we'd get more bang for our buck with him too and more attention to details.  If you have any other questions, let me know!

    Thanks!  I got DH to agree to move last month and he is busy finishing projects on our house.  Our realtor wants us to put our house on the market on 3/1, but I am worried we won't find what we want and will be pursuing building.  I have so many things to figure out! 

    Your house is gorgeous!  Enjoy it!
