would this be weird? IF etiquette (kinda long)

yesterday i had an mri to check out my uterine abnormality. the guy who was the mri tech sat down to confirm why i was having an mri.

he asked if my dr. x was in a practice with another IF specialist dr. y. when i replied yes, he quickly flashed the picture of his toddler daughter and said they were able to have her using ivf done by dr. y.

now, on one of my bad days that might have sent me into tears but yesterday it seemed very kind and done with the best intention of encouraging hope.

after the scan as he walked me back to radiology, he gave me his card and said, "feel free to call if you have any questions"

did he mean about IF?

would it be weird if i emailed him and asked to meet with he and his wife (along with my husband)?

like an IF double date?

we moved to an extremely small rural town a year ago and have no friends irl that have experienced anything like this.

tia for your opinion!

    I think since he initiated and offered that shooting him an email or calling would be ok.

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    Agreed, and I mean really what's the worse that can happen, he says no. But it would probably be very benefical to find somebody IRL who is going through the same struggles as you

    I think it would be fine..I would love an IRL IF couple as friends...even though we have friends who have gone through IF IRL but have had babies and now have amnesia about what it was like to go through IF..but anyways Good luck!
