What snow bib are you getting your little one?

We are going to be living in a really cold area. I am trying to decide which snow bib to get DD. I am looking at Lands End and Children's Place. The one at CP is on sale for $20 right now the one from Lands End is  $59. I saw the CP's one in person and am wondering if it is too thin.  Any input?

  • I get the cheapest ones I can find at a local consignment store or ebay.

They're not usually out long enough to need anything super expensive or nice.

Their noses, ears, hands and feet will get cold long before their core does.  I undress mine to find them drenched in sweat.

FWIW - mine have done full day ski school in the cheapest bibs I could find (Wal Mart) and did just fine.

My vote is save the cash for gloves that go on and say on and glove clips but go cheap on the bibs.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • I would definitely look 2nd hand first.  I got a really good one (REI, I think) that was full arms and legs (not just bib) with good waterproof outer and fleece lined inside for $20 at a consignment store.
