Yup, they'll totally take 'em back even after you've worn 'em.
I once was shopping for a pair of cute heels for an outdoor wedding in late spring, and asked about whether or not they'd sink into the ground (stiletto-style kitten heels). The salesman said that I could buy them, go wear 'em out on the wet ground, and if they sank in or made me uncomfortable, I could bring 'em back -- even if they were muddy.

My sister jokes about Nordstrom's return policy: you could return car tires there for a full refund...
You used to be able to, yeah -- trufax. They've revised their policy, though, and will only accept returns of items they've ever actually sold.
I did once return/exchange a bra there because I'd only had it for a couple of months and the underwire popped clean out of it. They not only took back the broken bra and gave me a new one, they refunded me the difference of the purchase price between when I bought it and when I exchanged it.

Piggy-backing since I cant find Nordstrom's in store return policy online... Does anyone know if they will take something back if you dont have the reciept anymore?? Also, is there a time limit?

If you paid with a credit card, they can look it up with the card. I never keep my reciepts for there. If it was a gift, they can look it up by the person's name. Otherwise, they will give you the current price, I believe. I have returned shoes and a bra that were more than a year old and they didn't bat an eyelash. In fact, the shoe department said they were glad that I was able to get a pair that didn't make my feet hurt! (I wore them twice and planned to let them die a slow death in my closet until I commented on it while buying another pair about a year later, like "I hope these work out better than my last black flats ..." and they were like hey, if you have them, bring them on in!)
I've worked for Nordstrom off and on for the last 9 years, and they absolutely will take them back. Nordstrom has one of the BEST return policies around!

If you still have the tags or box if they were shoes, there is a UII on the back, which is an electronic receipt. They will scan that and your whole transaction will pop up! No need to search the house for the receipt!
yep they will take anything they sold back. My mom once took a suit that had been sitting in my dad's closet for 7 years with the tags on it and they gave her full price back.
The rack however does have a time limit on returns, if you don't have a reciept they will look it up on your credit card.

Hah! I have a dress in my closet with the tags still on that I bought as an option to wear to my wedding rehersal dinner... I wasnt thinking about returning it, but this makes me think I should! =P
