December 2011 Moms

I never thought I'd say this...

but I'm getting antsy! My due date is still 44 days away, the nursery is still being worked on (as I type), I still have a few things to buy, and I'm not really that uncomfortable.

I've always been excited for LO...but so nervous too. But with all these early surprises being reported and all these beautiful baby pictures I'm really getting more excited than nervous!

Anyone else's nerves slowly fading?

Re: I never thought I'd say this...

  • Mine do until I actually think about it LOL.  I was talking to a friend who delivered at the hospital I was delivering at and she was telling me about how you just lose all humility when whatever nurse is on shift comes in and sticks her hand up your hoo-haa. I know it's a part of the whole delivering a baby thing, I'm just not looking forward to it!

  • I feel the same way.  I never really hit nervous, but the more birth stories I read, the more excited I get.  I know this baby needs more time, but I can't wait!!!

  • Im definitely getting excited!  Still slightly nervous because we still need to put carpet down, paint and put molding up in the nursery.  Again regardless of all of that seeing all these adorable babies being born I cant wait!!

  • I was definitely more scared earlier in pregnancy.  But for the last few weeks, the nerves have subsided and now I'm just so excited to meet my son.  I agree that all the baby stories are making me even more anxious to meet my LO.  We have pretty much everything done.  I can't wait!!
  • I feel this way! And it's making me crazy because I have contradicting feelings! I want her to wait until December 7th at least because I have my final exam for nursing school on the 6th. At the same time, I SO wanted her to be born yesterday! I am just looking forward to holding her. :-) I keep telling myself to accept that she will come when she's ready.

  • Me too!  I know LO needs to stay in as long as possible, but the thought of being full term in just 3 weeks excites me to no end!  Today we got the baby's room cleared out and installed the carseat bases.  Tomorrow is (finally!) our hospital tour, after which I'm sure I'll be excited too.
