If you didn't have to worry about money or your health, how many kids do you think is a good number to have? DH and I said we'd stop at 2. We have 2 adorable and so sweet little boys. But some friends of our just had a baby girl, and I've been making little girl stuff to sell and part of me toys with the idea of maybe trying one last time. It probably won't ever happen, but I dream about it sometimes, especially now that my little guy is almost one year old! Then I wake up the next morning telling myself, why mess with our perfect family? I grew up in a family of 3 kids and I guess I always felt like the 5th wheel and felt left out since I was the only girl. So I kind of always said I didn't want 3 kids because I didn't want someone to have to be the middle child. What do you think? Especially if you want 3, what are your reasons? I didn't have a great experience being in a family of 3 kids, but that's probably just my weird family.
Re: How many kids do you want to have?
Right now, I would like 4. I have a minimum of 3, ideal of 4, max of 5. DH says his minimum is 2, ideal 3, max 4...so we'll see. I can't put too much weight on any of it since I know what we want may change as we have more, and we also have to do fertility treatments so it's not as easy as we'd like.

Probably 4. No more than 5, and no less than 3.
I came from a family with 3 children, and being the youngest of the three I always felt like it was too lonely wishing our family was larger. My brother in law has 5 kids and I see how much of a handful it can be, so I am leaning more toward 4, but we are "going with the flow" for the time being. I might be humming another tune in a few years though...

This exactly. We got lucky, we both wanted one boy and one girl and that's what we've got.... but I'm stretched as far as I can go. DH's max number was 3, which I was never on board with.
