XP: So FREAKING pissed!!! -updated-

I laid down for a nap at 12 today. at 1 I was woken up by what SOUNDED like my upstairs neighbor BEATING his wife. I jumped awake, because I was worried..but then I realized they just had a bunch of people over. So I tried to go back to sleep, but then loud @ss music started....ITS STILL GOING ON! But now they're drunk. is it too early for me to call the cops? I'm seriously considering it.    I called the cops, and its so quiet now. =) I asked when it was appropriate for me to call over a noise complaint and the dispatcher said any time that the peace is disturbed...which is pretty vague..but oh well. It worked.

    I would call and report them. If you want to have parties then rent a house, NOT an upstairs apartment!

    Call them! We have had to so many times.. Never for noise but once for a boy lurking around our cars (in our driveway) with a gun.. We haven't seen him since :)

    For future issues, check your local noise ordinance rules. In my city, I can call and complain at any time and the cops will show up to tell them to be quiet but after 10pm my rowdy neighbors can be issued a ticket (and a very expensive one at that).

    Sometimes neighbors just have no regard for anyone else. Yeah, don't ever hesitate to call when noise levels are keeping you from doing what it is you want to do in your own home. Hope they stay quiet for you!
