AF is late but I'm a pessimist.

So AF is a day late. I know you are thinking... a day? Really is this woman kidding? Its one day. True it is one day but I have started AF on the same day for the past like four months. I'm a very punctual and routine driven person. (having a baby is going to be interesting) 

So of course because I don't have my usual PMS symptoms am all excited but then I try not to be because I"m ever the pessimist. I don't want to get excited because I don't want to be disappointed. Anyone else like me?

    Ok so we just started trying and I haven't started the charting yet, I was going to start this next cycle so I honestly am not 100 percent sure about ovulating. I can usually tell when I do only because of the cramps and all that but again its nothing for certain. So you gals could totally be right about just being late because I ovulated late. Anyway, I'm just concerned about testing to early. I keep having friends tell me to wait till your like a week or more late. I'm just a newbie at the whole thing and don't want to get my hopes up. I hope that doesn't sound bad, but do you know what I mean?

    TRUE STORY:

    I was like that for the most part too.  Until this one day, in June of 2011, (18 months after going off of BC)....when my period was "late"!  I had a 50+ day cycle for the first time since I stopped BC and I wasn't pregnant.  I know...hard to believe but it is true.  I swear.  Funny thing is, it hasn't happened again.  But it can, yes it can. 

    OP--clocks break.  Cycles go wonky and don't follow your schedule.  Take a test or wait it out.
