Thoughts on announcing?

We're going out to dinner with our best friends this evening, and I'd like to let them know we are expecting again. Hubby wants to wait until after our dr. appt on tuesday. 

Most likely we wont see them in person again until after Thanksgiving and id like to do it in person rather than over the phone.

thoughts?

    I have always handled it that, if it were someone I would tell about miscarriage and want to be there for me through that pain, then it is someone I would tell early during our fresh excitement.  You said these people are best friends, so in my book, that would fall into the category of "tell!"

    I guess if you would keep something like miscarriage private between you guys, then I wouldn't tell people yet, but if you would share that with people close to you and these are those people, then I think you should tell them the exciting news in person!

    Do it this weekend.  We are in the same boat.  My appointment is Tuesday too.  We want to tell close family and friends in person as well.  This weekend DH is hunting with his dad and brother and will tell them.  I will see SIL so I will tell her.  Next week MIL will be around, so hopefully FIL keeps quiet so I can tell her in person.  Next weekend I am telling my parents.  I am telling DS on Tuesday after my appointment.

    This.  The only people I've told so far are the ones I would want to be there for me if something bad happens.  Most of them are the ones who were there for me when something bad happened last time, so I know I can trust them (except my mother, but that is a whole other ball of wax;)

    I completely agree, I told 2 of my best friends already, one is out of state and the other one is expecting this december. I want both of them to know if something happen or if I get MS then they are the first person that I will let know. Its killing me inside that I cant let my mom know since DH and I agree to give this as our surprise xmas present. But for me, I would let my closest one to know that I'm pregnant and tell them to keep a secret. Other than that its your call. Yes
