Prepping wool

So I just made my first wool cover out of a wool sweater I picked up from the thrift store.  Excited, but now I need to figure out how to get it ready for use on DD!  I washed & dried the sweater before cutting it up & making the cover.  Do I have to wash it again before lanolizing it?

    I use an all in one wool wash and lanolin, so in essence I'm washing and lanolizing at the same time

    If you already washed it, I wouldn't bother doing it again, just lanolize.  :o)
