I hate my cervix

Apparently it takes a pretty significant 90 degree turn at some point and they have one hell of a time getting the catheter in the right place for the embryo transfer, resulting in a pretty damn uncomfortable situation this morning. My overly full bladder did not help, so they had me partially empty it, then tried again. Have you ever tried to partially empty your bladder when you feel like you are bursting? Yeah, very unsatisfying.

But once they got the catheter in place the transfer when smoothly. Both embryos survived the thaw, so we have a 4AA and a 3AA blast on board with a few more left in the freezer. Now I count down to my beta (11/21).  Thanks everyone for all the positive thoughts!

    How do they expect you to partially empty your bladder?  That must have been rough.  Sorry you had to go through so much trouble. 

    So glad that you were able to transfer 2 embryos.  Snuggle in, embies!

    But yay!  Hoping one of those embies snuggles in tight...:)

IVF #2 (Apr 2012) EPP/Antagonist with ICSI - 10R, 7M, 6 ICSI'd, 2F. 3DT = BFN AMH tested by new RE 6/2012 - 2! Saving money for IVF #3. Started a ton of supplements in May 2012 and hoping for a miracle! SURPRISE BFP!! (October 2012)

    Ugh!  I had to partial empty my bladder during my mock transfer too!  It sucks!

    Good luck! Your experience is basically what happened during my ET, only imagine the RE not getting in with the loaded catheter, then removing it and adjusting its angle out in the open air (to make that awesome nearly 90 degree bend). I looked on in horror! Apparently the embie made it where it belonged ;)

    IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
    3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

    DS born 07/29/12

    FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

    FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    Sounds painful!

    At least the weekend is here so you can be lazy and let those little embryos snuggle in.
