It's Official...IUI #2 is a bust

AF decided to show up tonight and I'm devastated to say the least. I was so hopeful for this cycle and really felt like there was a chance.

Now DH and I have a very hard decision to make. We only have 6 samples left and there is no hope he will ever make anymore sperm. Part of me wants to move on to IVF but he wants to do another IUI. We are 100% OOP  for everything and the IVF would have to come out of our savings. We already have an appointment with our RE on Tuesday and I plan on asking about doing an IUI with injectables.

Right now I just want to feel like myself again. I hate the way Clomid makes me feel, I hate how antsy I get during the 2ww, but I especially hate hurt I feel after a failed cycle. Not to sound overly dramatic, but does anyone else ever feel this way? 

Me: 28 DH: 33
MFI: zero sperm (using pre-chemo frozen samples)
9/2011 IUI#1 + 50mg Clomid= BFN
10/2011 IUI#2 100mg Clomid+Trigger=BFN
11/2011 IUI#3 (Last before IVF)100mg Clomid+Trigger=BFN
1/2012 IVF. ER 1/25 (18R 15M 15F) ET 1/29

    yes, I often feel horrible when AF shows up, or after a negative beta.

    I'm so sorry, but yes, you are not alone.  I've definitely felt all that too.  We are also 100% OOP

    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d

    so sorry to hear that. i know how unfair it seems for dh to make it through cancer only to face this issue. we are in a similar situation. t and p

    Sorry it didn't work out; I definitely know how it feels when you find out it didn't work.  I think the big question on the samples would be how many you use for IUIs, and how much you would need for IVF.  If you only need one vial for IUI, I'd go ahead and do one more; but if your only problem is MFI, then IVF has an excellent chance of working for you, so I'd be willing to move on soon.  You also have to think about if you want more than one pregnancy.

    I can't speak to the no sperm piece, but I can definitely understand the hurt after a failed cycle. I am so sorry. I hate the way Clomid made me fee,l too. Huge hugs!!
