These are my girl crushes right now. Not TTCing since LO is barely 4 months old. But I like to think of her as a sister b/c she's oh so cute.
We were Team Green with her and our boy name was Miles, which we'd probably still use on a brother.
Any other suggestions with this same type of feel? LN is German and long, begins with R. LO's middle name is Lucille.
Re: Lydia, Penelope, or Eloise?
I never liked Penelope for a child. I feel like it's just...not suitable. I don't like the name, no offense intended.
Lydia seems a bit too dated to me. Although it sounds nice with Nina.
I really love Eloise. I think it's a wonderful name that ages very well.
I love your daughter's name. It's beautiful.
I really like Eloise with the other descriptors you gave.
I really like Eloise out of your choices.
Other suggestions:
Amina, Aurora, Fiona, Clara, Nola, Annora, Adelia, Savannah, Isobel, Raya, Lillian
I dislike Penelope as well. When I was little I remember thinking Penelope was the most ridiculous name ever and would always make fun of it.
I love Lydia and Eloise. I think you can't go wrong with either.

I love them all!
I think my favorite is Lydia. But I *love* the nns Poppy and Penny for Penelope. Eloise is great, too - but comes in 3rd for me.
I highly dislike Eloise. It's a perfectly ok name,it's just nms.
I love both Lydia and Penelope, but I agree with PP that Lydia and Nina sounds like more of a set.

Votes are all over the place!
DH's fav is Penelope. He LOVES the nn Penny. I prefer Poppy or Nellie, but FIL is called Poppy for grandpa, and I didn't want Nina-n-Nellie. Polly is cute. I am "eh" about Penelope.
My fav is Lydia. But I do not like the nn Lydie (or however you'd spell it). I like Libby though! I also do not want a trendy name, which is part of the reason why I love Nina's name so much.
Eloise is ok. We both like it alright.
I guess none of these feels like The One. I'll keep my options open. Good thing I have a few years.... :-)
Thanks for the opinions!
I've never heard any nicknames at all for Lydia. ???
As far as popularity goes, I know way more little girls named Nina IRL than little girls named Lydia. In fact, I think I've only met 1 little Lydia IRL at a playground one day, but there are 3 Ninas DD's age in our neighborhood.
Anyway, my vote is for Lydia, but I also like Penelope and Eloise.
