Champagne question

I got a nice bottle of champagne about a month before I got married.  I never had a bridal shower so my co-workers threw me one and it was such a sweet gesture!

However.. I never had the chance to drink it.  Within a couple weeks of getting married, my life was completely overturned (lost my 2 closest family members), and then we bought a house and I got pregnant (and BFd a total of 2 years combined)... there was just never a good time to drink it, and I feel bad because it was a very expensive bottle.

So .. my 6 year wedding anniversary is in 2 weeks.. is the champagne drinkable?  Would the taste go bad, or is it unsafe (or both)?

Re: Champagne question

  • I would say its drinkable - depending on the vintage/bottling/carbonation - it may be more bubbly/flatter than when u got it. Bef hasn't gone bad/spoiled.

You could prob google reviews to see how it has aged!

  • It really depends on how/where it was stored.  So champagne is better in time and others should not be aged.  You can always open it to celebrate and if it's bad just have a back up bottle :-)
