I do Jules kicked the bottle! LOL, she hasn't had one in over a week. I do think that it was a matter of waiting for her to be more ready than just taking it away. I'm just thrilled to not have to deal with bottles until March!
And on a whole other note, when I was cleaning up her morning mess, I found one of my sneakers with a fork, spoon, and a carrot in it. She's a funny one
Anyone else have any small (or big) accomplishments to share?
Re: Anyone want to AW?
I seriously want to freeze Justin like this forever. I can't even believe I'm raising such an awesome kid and he's growing up too fast. No more tubbies- he loves to shower now. He's started walking beside the cart at stores instead of in it and he's been a great listener. I wish the babies liked me 1/100th that they love him. When they're in a crying fit all he has to do is jump around or sing to them and they both start laughing like crazy.
Brandon has slept through the night for 1 week straight! Also, less than 2 weeks until he may get released from his helmet. He's trying so hard at PT- reaching and trying to get up onto all 4s. He is such a sweet, good natured little boy.
Natalie is an excellent sitter and is getting really good at self feeding. She will pretty much eat any veggie which is nice. She is a total ham. If I have the camera and call her name- bam! big toothy grin.
Gavin has started wanting me to rock him at night, instead of playing his iXL. For a while, we'd let him play his game for 5 minutes before he had to lay down, and lately, he asks me to rock him instead of playing his game. I love that 5 minutes! I ask him what his favorite part of the day was, and then I make up a story for him. Love that he wants me more than his game, and I hope it lasts that way for a looong time!
I talked to the director at his preschool about my teaching license, just because I wanted her opinion. She came to me today to tell me she recommended me for the Mom's Day Out position that will be opening up next year. I don't know a lot about it, but I know that it would mean I'd work there on the days Gavin is in preschool, Riley could go with me, and our preschool tuition would be discounted. Sounds like a win-win! I'm excited to hear more about it.
And lastly, another consultant is joining my team really soon, which means another promotion is in the near future for me. I am so happy with how much my team has grown in the past year!
About a month or two ago, I started thinking that Chelsea was on the verge of learning some sight words. I was wrong. She can freaking read! She literally sat down one day with a brand-new library book that she had never seen before, and she read the entire thing to me with zero help. I seriously almost had a heart attack because we didn't teach her to read...she just got it. I am still amazed every day when I see her reading!!! I just can't believe it, she isn't even four yet. So crazy.
Molly is developing the funniest personality! She loves to tease all of us by asking for a hug or a kiss, and when you go to give it to her, she runs away shaking her head 'no'. She also has way more language at 16 months than Chelsea did. She has fit so perfectly into our family and it is so fun to watch her turning into her own little person.
Audrey is smiling and I soak up every one! And she STTN last night! She's been sleeping great which makes me happy. Too bad I woke up at 3:45 engorged and in pain and had to get up to pump...oh well.
Stella is just an awesome little girl. She has over 100 words already (so what if only DH & I can understand them, they still count right?) and she associates things. Like one day DH's grandfather brought her a box of Ritz Bits crackers and he dropped it in the driveway. We all said "Uh Oh!" Now each time I bring out that box, Stella points at it and says "Uh Oh!" She's just so smart. And she's taken to randomly dancing around the house, which is adorable.
I went back to the Dr. for a follow up about my PPD and decided to get a prescription. I'm so happy I took that initiative to recognize the problem and get help, for myself and my family. I hope it works!
Ethan is talking so much. Yesterday he told me Mom I'm funny. He cracks me up. We were looking at my facebook pictures last night and he remembered everything from our vacation. When he saw the room he said "our home", he remembered the little girl he played with all week.
Sophia is just a good girl. She goes to bed no problem and sleeps through the night. For the most part she is a happy baby.
Evan is just such a doll and I just love to hear him talk. He sang himself to sleep tonight singing Twinkle Twinkle. He said to Andrew the other night..good night blue eyes. I melted.
Andrew has been such a happy smiley baby. He slept 14 hours last night! He usually sleeps about 12, but has been having a lot of wakeful (but happy) periods in the past week, so I am glad that he is back to sleeping well for the past few nights. His smile just warms my heart. I love watching him watch Evan as well, you can just see the adoration.
I will also AW my DH. He is just an awesome Dad and a great husband. I feel very blessed...
