Another Christmas spin off

In an effort to start building our own traditions this year, I'm creating an advent calendar from Christmas socks, and each day we are going to read a different holiday story.

I think I have quite a few already, but will need 24 total.. so what are your favorite holiday books? I'd like to include one on Hanukkah and other holidays as well.

    Love it. I just picked up a haunakah book today at bn. The illustrations were really pretty. Haven't made it in from the car yet, but will update when  I get it out of the car. Imhoping to find others on other celebrations as well. I should ask my mom since she ran the library at her schools for 20 years.

    yes, we just recently purchased our own copy... and we're doing the polar express train ride the day after thanksgiving in old sac!

    I love this idea!!  Will you show off your advent calendar when you're done too?  That sounds totally adorable.  I've been wanting to make one with felt/appliqu?...but I know it would take me fooooorever.  Probably wouldn't get used until grandkids come around, lol.  Using Christmas socks sounds sort of ingenious.  Eager to see what you come up with! :)
