it looks great! i would have never thought to use gray grout.
for your cabinets, do you have that engineered board with the laminate type paint stuff on there now? like in the picture where the "paint" has chipped off? is that what that is? i just ask because it looks just like ours and we have a lot of the doors chipping in that exact spot. and i don't know how to fix it! it's annoying. can't wait to see the finished product!

oh yes, its a lovely product called 'thermafoil' and it looks horrendous. there is unfortunately no way to fix it once it starts to peel and the manufacturer does not make the ones we have anymore so our only choice was to re-face with new doors and drawers. we ordered them online and it was about $500. we have a decent size kitchen but it doesnt have much cabinet space so it was very reasonable. the contractor will be painting them white
