My husband is driving me nuts! We are a very active couple. We regularaly workout together, play sports together, and on the run. The last couple weeks I've been so exsuasted. He doesn't get it! Always with the "why are you so tired? Lets go do this, lets go do that. I think you have the energy, you just have to find the motivation to get the energy out." Oh my gosh, I'M MAKING A BABY INSIDE OF ME, I'M TIRED DUDE, SERIOUSLY?!
Then today, I've had my first battle with m/s. I'm laying on the couch, miserable. He gets home from work and says "what do you want to do today?" I said "nothing! I feel like crap. I want to lay on this couch." He says "oh, well, we could go to the movies. It's cold in the movies, you should feel fine." Seriously? I'm about to puke on your face so you can see just how "fine" I feel. I just wish men could be pregnant so they could just semi understand how your body is acting and how we feel! Men are so ....gr!!!!!!! Lol.
Re: If only men could experince being pregnant! Gr!
Don't know if you caught my saga the other day, in which my husband very nearly got junk-punched in his sleep for asking me that day "why I was so tired because I hadn't done anything".
He finally got it when I told him that my energy level felt comparable to working through the flu, just without sniffles.

this made me LOL
Oh, ohhhh been there girl!!!!!! Just last week he goes "do you realize how long its been since we've had sex?" I said "uh, yeah, but my sex drive isn't there dear. It's normal for first trimester, I'm sorry." He says "well, theres two people in this relationship...just saying." Well, there may be two for now, but it may not be for long because I'ma murder you after you keep aggrivating me! Lol.
Hahahaha, I love your idea! But my husband is so competitive, I'd deffinitely pay for it in some sick way, lol.
haha I know what you mean! The other day I was sitting on the couch with my heating pad on because my sciatica was so bad (yes I have sciatica ALREADY...didn't think it was possible this early on myself!) and I said something about a really painful zit that was implanting itself on my chin. He literally responded by saying "I'm sorry, but I'm really excited about that!"... WHAT!?.. He said anytime I get a symptom he feels sorry for me but excited for us at the same time. He's really lucky I was able to control the pregnancy horomones!
hahaha this thread really made my day.I sometimes wish my husband understand pregnancy too.. man are so ignorant sometimes LOL
You're one or two times ahead of me!! SO not in the mood..
When he started to whine about my sudden loss of energy and libido, I let my DH read the daddy chapter of WTEWYE and he did a total 180 on me. Then a while later when he bitched about having to "clean up after me" (um, no) I informed him that I couldn't lift the laundry basket to bring it to the machine or to bring it back from the dryer because I was risking a hemmorhage/miscarriage from lifting something too heavy. I told him it happened to my cousin Lynn, she lost the baby and her uterus. Then I added "next time, YOU carry the baby and tell me how much energy you have, k?"
That snapped him out of it completely and he's much better about doing stuff that I would normally do, but can't. He just didn't understand that certain activities aren't just energy suckers, they're dangerous.
Haha! Me too!...He says..."Do you know its been over a week?". I should show him this to let him know it could be a lot worse, and might just get a lot worse!

LMAO!!! "i'ma murder you if you keep aggrivating me! i knooooow the feeling! LOL though, by nature, my hubby is one of the laziest SOB's i know.. but he has really pulled it out lately. cooking, cleaning, he's already half way through "what to expect when you are expecting"
maybe you should tell him more about being pregnant.. like Sam, enjoys hearing the technical things, like that i get winded going up stairs because my body is making double the amount of blood so it takes more to oxygenate the blood in my muscles.. since yoru guy likes to work out and be active, he might understand more if he knew the physiology of being pregnant.. bc remember, we dont look different to them and they have no idea of whats going on inside, so they dont get why you are acting so different.
