Toddlers: 24 Months+

Disney on Ice for 3 year old?

Disney On Ice is coming to Raleigh and opening night has some pretty good ticket deals.  We've thought about taking my 3 year old daughter but not sure if that would be too much at that age?  Its a two hour show and is disney princess theme based.  Just wondering if anyone else has taken their toddler to a show like this and if so how did it go?  Were they able to stay interested the whole 2 hours?  TIA

Re: Disney on Ice for 3 year old?

  • We went for DD's 3rd birthday and it went well. She wore a Disney princess costume and we left early when she said she was ready to go. Worth it to us. It's a very nice show, too.
My darling daughter just turned 4 years old.

  • I jsut took my 2 and 3 year old and both sat tentatively through the whole thing.

If it is Dare to Dream you are going to, it is a great show!

Married my best friend on 5/14/05
Three Girls: Bits 2/08  Biscuit 10/09 & Sweet Chuck 2/12

    And another Princess coming 7/16
  • We haven't taken ds to Disney on Ice, however this year we've already taken him to a major league baseball game and a college basketball game.  I went in expecting the worst, but he actually sat in my lap and loved it.   You might be surprised at how well she does, especially considering the lights and all that's going on.

We have friends that took their 4 & 6 year old sons to Phineas and Ferb and they both loved it.

  • Yes, just be prepared to leave early if needed. She should really like it.
  • We took DD to Toy Story 3 on Ice this summer right after her 2nd birthday. She stayed entertained throughout the show and enjoyed it!

  • I?m so excited for all the great responses!  We are attending to the Ice show when it comes to MN .  My DD got so excited when she saw the poster for the ice show and Flynn and Rupunzel are special guest.  She was so sold on going once she saw they were going to be at the Ice Show.  I used to love the ice shows when I was a kid so I was happy I could take her and let her enjoy it as well.

  • Okay, this isn't exactly what you asked, but my mom took me to Disney on Ice when I was about three years old, and I was actually picked to ride in the boat!  I got to sit by Cinderella and ride around the rink a few times, and I actually still remember it very clearly.  I was so excited I squealed the whole way home.  I think it's worth going :)

  • We took DS (a week shy of 2) and Nephew (4.5) to Toy Story 3 on Ice. It was a great show. Both boys were entertained the entire time. There is an intermission, too.

  • We took dd to Toys Story on Ice last year and she loved it (she was only one at the time).  The lights and the music were entertaining themselves.  We are again taking her this year to Disney on Ice....she's so in love with princesses right now.
