WWYD? **UPDATED**

Yesterday morning I posted about soreness and light cramping after my internal exam done the day before.  The cramping went away pretty early, but the soreness lingered on.

Well, yesterday afternoon I almost fell.  My dog was walking by my feet and I tried to avoid stepping on him.  Luckily, I caught myself on a nearby wall and landed sitting down.  I didn't land hard, nothing hurt, and I didn't leak or get contractions.  Baby was moving around as usual.

Now I'm feeling more soreness.  The soreness is not only in my cervix/vag area but since the fall its traveled up to around the round ligament area.  I also feel like the baby is lower than ever.

So, what would you do?  Call the Dr's office, explain what happened and see what they say?  Or just go on about my day unless my "symptoms" get worse?

Re: WWYD? **UPDATED**

  • I'd probably wait until symptoms got worse. When is your next appt? Otherwise if you could go in she might check to see if you were dilated/effaced.

My next appointment is on Tuesday, the 15th.

  • Oh thats not for a few days. Maybe you should call if they get worse during the week, so you dont have to go to L/D over the weekend. Just a thought. If its like my doc they can usually get you in if you call in the morning etc. But of course weekends are a whole other situation.

I agree. Its always better to get in the office during the week then have to go into L&D.

I hope its all just normal baby aches. GL

  • If it were ME, I'd probably go about my day and see what happened.  Especially if I was feeling good baby movement.  However, I'm not one to ever tell someone not to call their doctor.  If you are thinking you should or that you would like to then, I say go for it.  It's not going to hurt anyone to make a call.
  • If your worried I would call. It never hurts to call even if it's only to put your mind at ease.

I fell last week and when I called my doctor all they said was to call L&D if I had heavy bleeding, if LO stopped moving, or if I went into labor. Hopefully it will be the same for you and everything is fine :)

  • I decided to call my doctor after all.  They had me go in for a NST.  Baby's heartbeat was nice and strong.  Also, I was having a lot of irregular contractions that I wasn't even aware of!  My doctor said that everything looks good.  Unless I go into labor this weekend, she'll see me back for my appointment on Tuesday.

Thank you for the advice and well wishes!
