Allright you hoverers, you gift shoppers, you.
My family is a plan ahead type. They already have most of the Christmas shopping done (and probably half wrapped.) My mom already asked me for gift suggestions for Baby Pumpkin.
Trouble is--he's so little I have no idea what he (we) might want. My cousin just gave us a hand me down floor/activity mat.
They definitely want to buy gifts for HIM--an ergo (or ergo fleecy cover
or other things from the registry are out.
I'd love things that could last awhile.
Any ideas?
ETA: Working with the foster care system, we are as confident as we can be that he will be here at Christmas. Although his permanency is unknown, this is a long-term placement.
Re: Christmas already???
My pal scout, blocks, stacking cups, melissa and doug puzzles (he'll grow into those), books, music cds, certificates for classes (music, my gym, sign language, ect - for a few months down the road)

Leapfrog Learning table. It comes off of the legs to sit on the floor when he isn't able to stand yet - and then once it is on the legs, it is great for new standers.
Excersaucer - both for him and you. My kids LOVED them and it gave us time to fix dinner.
A cloth baby doll (found this one here)

Books
Silkies/Lovies/Tag Blankets - A used her lovie for 6 years
Baby food cookbook - more for you than him
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
Thanks for the suggestions. Pumpkin definitely wants a massage
I think my family is definitley looking for ideas like exersaucer and activity table. Generic enough for them to pick something.
We won't get him much--but I like the cloth dolls, and my pal scout! I've never seen that and it's so cute.
He has lots of books (not that more aren't always good) and some CDs. He has a CD/mp3 player on his registry... if he doesn't get one for his room by Christmas, Santa might bring one.
