Temp goes up or down?

Hey guys, i woke up this morning (from an TERRIBLE dream where i was pg and lost it!) about an hour early. I took my temp and went back to bed. My temp was GREATY higher then before. (i think i might have Oed because of my cm, though i know i need more temps to confirm). My question is, isn't your temp supposed to go up the longer you sleep? So that would mean my temp is really lower then it would have been if i took it at my normal time? Sorry if this is confusing!
