got a new phone (lynnyd!)

I FINALLY GOT A NEW PHONE!!!

Now, let me vent a bit.

I have been using a broken phone for months. Like it was held together with rubber bands, no joke. Then that one finally crapped out and I started using my super old Nokia phone that had been living in Joshua's toybox for the last 5 years. Seriously, yes, that happened. Well THAT one finally bit the dust 6 DAYS AGO. I have been without a phone for 6 days. I stay at home, alone, with the kids, allllll week while H works. Well, Joshua had early release from school today and I had no idea, because I didn't get the voicemail the school sent out yesterday. When I didn't pick him up the school tried to call me, then my mom (the back up person). Mom called H like "WTF happened to Amanda?!?!" and THANK GOD H was in town to go get Joshua, or I wouldn't have left to get him for another 3 hours.

So H finally gave in and bought me a new phone as soon as he got home. Geez. Sucks it took such a big deal to make him realize MAYBE it was necessary.

  • Men..it takes something drastic for them to think, "Oh, this might be important after all" lol

Glad you got a new phone. My daughter took my phone for a swim a couple months ago in the toilet so I was without a working phone as well. Luckily I had insurance on it.

HOWEVER!! if something happens again, Gmail has a way to make calls from your computer.  You can't receive calls...but maybe you can find a free voicemail service that you can set up as an emergency. Then call it once a day (if something happens to your phone again) & check it!
