If I take DD to the Children's Museum...

is she going to get sick?  I remember mlf's kids always got sick every time they went, but they also weren't daycare kids.  I send DD to a petri dish every day, so I am hoping that she will have a built up immunity to the cooties at the museum.  What do you think?

eta: I am thinking of taking her for her birthday tomorrow.  If you think the museum isn't a good idea, what other ideas do you have for a fun, short outing?

    I took my kiddo all the time and he isn't a day care kid and he never got sick there. I think it sounds like a fun time :)

    Nah, just be sure to wash her hands at the museum and give her a big bath when you get home.

    I think that if she's in a daycare center, you shouldn't have to worry too much about germs. If she's going to get sick, she's going to get sick. Not too much you can do but keep her at home in a bubble. I would just try to keep her hands out of her mouth and wipe them down every so often. She'll prob spend her time in the little toddler section which is somewhat limited - lots of balls and tactile stuff and mirrors - not too much she can stick in her mouth aside from her hands.

    We took M there earlier this year and she didn't get sick from it. (She isn't a daycare kid either). I bet you will be fine.

    Ehhh...DS has only seen 4 people for 20 months and he's done fine at the Children's Museum when we decide to let him out with the rest of the world.  I wanna say that he's gone to the Children's Museum three times now and if anything he may have had a sneeze for a day or two but it never turned into an all out immune system meltdown or anything.

    i havent ever noticed that my kids have gotten sick after the museum.  not daycare kids but they get out a lot and go to the gym etc

    I always worry about this too but I just wash her hands in the bathroom before we leave. So far so good
