I'm certain it's not symphysis pubic dyfunction, based on what I've read/heard. My guess is it's a nerve thing due to the baby putting pressure on that region. I feel strong pinches/stabs deep inside and low (cervix?), from at the top of my pubic bone. It's not constant and I tend to notice it more if I have been bending over or squatting recently. It's worst when I'm standing up. Sometimes I'll feel it while sitting down if I am coughing. I don't know if I'd call it pain, but it's extremely uncomfortable.
So...what is it?
Re: What's this pubic pain (pregnancy)?

I had lightening crotch a couple of times in my pregnancy with Cal and it was unmistakable. A shard, sudden pain in my crotch. This is different...

I had pubic symphysis dysfunction. What you describe sounds like it. The most tell-tale sign according to my PT was pain when rolling over in bed, getting in and out of my car, and any other activity where my legs were not parallel (like walking...)
It was awful, but usually a short lived pain if I stopped what I was doing when it started. Baths helped as did swimming. Boo for this, but you are getting close!
