reaction from shots

Got our sons 2 month shots yesterday. I am already thinking he has issues with Dairy so I cut that out of my diet. After the shots he got the rash again and has been miserable..throwing up etc...

Could this be a food allergy reaction?

    With just the rash alone I would say its an allergy to one of the shots. I don't recall if any of the 2 months shots contain any food item though.

    Regardless it sounds like an allergic reaction. I would make sure doctor know about this, since these shots get repeated at 4 and 6 months.

    have you called your doctor?   I don't think it's a FA though but he can be allergic to something that's in the shot.  I would call the doc immidietly and just let her know about the rash.  Take a photo of it also.

    You need to let your pedi know about the reaction.  The preservatives in shots can be made from allergenic ingredients (bovine protein, dairy proteins, egg protiens etc.).  Find out what brand your pedi's office uses and you can look up the info on google to see what was in the vaccine (I think I found it on the CDC website but I can't remember).  I'd also ask about doing shots one at a time going forward so that you know what your LO is reacting too.  It's hard to pinpoint the problem when they get so many shots at once.
