after hearing the news last night that Heavy D died, we put on some old CDs of his music. after we turned it off, i noticed DS humming some tunes. i asked what he was singing, and to the tune of "overweight lover in the house," my son sings "heavyweight bubbles in the house!"
he sang this little hook all night until he realized that we were LOLing at him.
what's your kid said recently that was funny?
Re: Kids say the darndest things...
Molly, the younger is very into saying Hi and Bye to everything. When we were driving home from TorT at the mall, she kept saying Bye Bye Trick or Treat and Trick or Treat All Gone. When we pass the garden center that had pumpkins it is Bye Bye pumpkins. Also I only recently noticed (probably because she doesn't meet a lot of new people) that she likes to introduce herself as in "HI!!! I Molly" very enthusiastically.
Maggie just keeps sounding older. Hearing "Oh my gosh" come out of her mouth a la "Oh my gosh Becky", she says it all drawn out like that too. There are some older neighborhood girls that come over to play with the kids at daycare so I hope she got it from there and that I don't sound like that. Also she has heard Bieber's Baby, Baby etc etc (I haven't even listened to the song) and loves to sing it, alone in her room at night. It is adorable to hear Bay-bay, bay-bay, bay-bay Oh - same lyrics over and over again.
Maggie also likes to set my agenda in the car. "Mommy, when we get home you are going make chocolate milk, then spaghetti, then do the bath" At least she is into lists like me.
My 4.5 yr old this morning, totally out of the blue, "God made everything... so Mommy, who made God?"
I immediately went on FB to ask my friends back home who still go to church on the regular if there are any books I can get her.
My 2.5 yr old - everything is No. Not cute.
My 1 yr. old - mimics sounds, totally cute. Loves to blow raspberries.
She and Molly should get together for a big NO party. How long does this stage last again???
today, DD says to me: ?your forehead looks bad,?
?what?s wrong w/ it??
"you?ve got scratches on it,?
"it?s wrinkles,?
"oh, wrinkles?
