Moby Wrap users is it just me or...

Have you noticed that when you wear it for awhile it feels like its starting to get loose? I wore my ds while grocery shopping today for about an hour and I swear he was slowly creeping down. This isn't the first time I've noticed this. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Moby Wrap users is it just me or...

  • I did as well, the problem is mostly solved by making sure the "belt" portion is wrapped very tightly from the get-go and making the cross higher on your chest and also very tight.

  • Have to tie it tighter than you would think.

Also, it stretches out after lots of use, but if you wash it, it tightens back up.

  • I can't for the life of me wrap it so it supports DD's head. She is always pushing off my chest to look around.

For the first 5 or 10 mins DD stays awake and she hates the moby to be on her head. It isn't until she falls asleep that I can put the part that supports her head on her.

Shes gotten to the point of pushing up with her legs to try and get out of the moby lol.

  • This weekend we took DD to magiquest to celebrate her excellent report card, LO started in the Moby on my chest, at the end of DD's "time" he was around my waste, still secure just slipped down. At some point the part of the X that was furthest away from me somehow ended up over the "seat belt" portion. I was wondering the same thing, and I am a little scared to use it again because I don't want him to fall out.
  • Re: pushing up with legs....

I had to use the older baby tying, so that his legs were through the X, othwise he was jumping out of the top.  Once I used that instead of the newborn hold, it worked great as long as I tied it tightly.  Remember that the X is where the baby will be and tie accordingly.  You'll get it!!

  • I have the same issue.  I have a hard time keeping the "seat belt" portion tight around me when I pull the other sides over my shoulders...I just don't know how tight to pull those two sides because if I pull them too tightly they pull the "seat belt" portion up too high...it just seems awkward to me, but I do love the Moby for the times I get it on semi-correctly and it works out for a while!
