dark flecks in 12 weeks olds poop on alimentum

Hi ladies,    I posted on 0-3 also...My baby was put on alimentum about 4-5 weeks ago for MSPI and prior was having neon green mucousy and sometimes mixed with a little blood on breast milk...I stopped all dairy and it did not resolvel.  Pedi put her on alimentum and at first I mixed with breast milk but then for about the past 3 or 4 weeks just alimentum.   All signs of allergy have disappeared Thank God.....

Have noticed recently that there were some dark flecks mixed in with poop  in several of her diapers....Not enormous amount but I caould see them if I check through......I took the diapers to pedi and two were negative and one positive for very small amount of microscopic blood.  Pedi said to continue alimentum because she is doing so weoll on it and bring diapers in next week to check again.    Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!  TIA

    Alimentum has traces of cows milk protein in it, so some babies still can't handle alimentum.  if the next time they check and there is still blood, i would have her prescribe a new formula.

    Thanks for reply.   Checked again and still microscopic blood as well as black flecks.....We are now on Neocate.......Hope this does the trick......
