I don't know how much of it is true and I do not like to rush to judgment without all the facts, but if any of it is true (which seems to be the case) I am beyond pissed. It's absolutely sick. What he did is sick but the fact that the school seemingly did nothing about it is terrible.
Re: Anyone been following the Penn State scandal?
I saw that it's being discussed over on P&CE. I haven't really followed though.
If you want, you can read the grand jury report (WARNING - GRAPHIC) if you want more facts.
Former Penn Stater checking in from San Antonio, thank you for posting those links!
Yes, I've been following it closely since the story broke on Saturday. Everyone that knew something and didn't go to the police when it became clear that others wouldn't, is morally wrong in this situation......they may not be legally responsible/indictable but IMO, morally wrong. The question I posed to my husband was, if this was our child, would we think that JoePa (and everyone else with knowledge of the situation) did enough? NO! So while he might not be legally responsible, he had a moral obligation to speak up and KEEP SPEAKING UP until the police took action.
How can you sleep at night knowing that this man (allegedly) continued to victimize young boys for YEARS after that incident?! I'm totally disgusted.
I WISH we were talking about recruiting violations, paying of players, cars, jewelry, etc.......this is so on another level and it makes me really sad.

I wasn't until I saw this post and read the article. And then, because I'm morbid that way, I tortured myself and read the Grand Jury's indictment. And now I'm gonna be sick, and this is not really even new business for me. (I've never personally seen a case on this scale, spanning so many years and so many victims, but have dealt with enough child abuse cases for my lifetime. It never ceases to be disgusting and heartbreaking).
Those two administrators are full of *** and need to go to prison. JS is a sick fvck and needs to go away forever. JoePat is a selfish dumbass who also would do well to go to prison, but probably won't. But who am I to judge?
Ugh. I'm gonna go home and hug my kid and never let him out of my sight again.
When 3 Became 4
Its disgusting and horrifying that adults LET this happen.
And that 28 year old grad assistant? What he saw? He turned around and didn't STOP it right then and there.....and then he went to call his daddy to find out what he should do? Really guy? Really? A grown man couldn't figure out what to do when he saw a 10 year old boy being raped.
There is a special place in hell for the whole lot of them.
And one more thing - his wife never knew a thing? Please.
