Baby #1: went into labor on my own 3 days after due date - 18 hours
Baby #2: had to be induced 9 days after due - 23 hours (but there was an 11+ year gap between the two babies)
Baby #3: went into labor on my own 3 days after due date - about 12 hours, though for what it's worth if my contractions weren't so regular I wouldn't have thought I was in labor - they never really felt bad until transition. Like that poster they were 30-45 seconds long for about 6 hours but not really painful. I went in to get checked anyways and I was already 5 cm dialated. Just pay attention and you should be okay :-)
I only have 1 so far, but my labor was ~36 hours long start to finish with 7 hours of active labor. No pitocin or epidural, if it makes any difference.

Only one kid, I was induced from no progress because of a suspicious non stress test. I was fully dilated about 40 hours after induction started, pushed 2 hours before the c-section

Baby #1 Water broke at 1:30am...Delivered at 10:50am 9 hours total Contratctions steady, only needed epidural
Baby #2 Water broke at 6:15am...Delivered at 5:09pm 11 hours total. Labor did not progress all morning. Given pitocin (will never do that again) at 12pm.
20 hours with #1, augmented with Pit for the last 7 hours. 15 hours with #2, au naturale.
The last 3 births I was at, I kept the moms rolling their hips almost the whole time I was there. All of them went really fast, much faster than typical labors (one did 2cm to complete in 2 hours, but labored for about 6 hours before that). I'm quickly becoming a believer in the Dancing for Birth thing.
MrsWright should offer the caveat that she was already 5cm dilated when they induced her
This is a great post! I've been wondering the same thing. DS1 was about 12 hours from the first "yeah I think this is it" contraction. With an epi about 1/2 way through, no pit.

Let me preface this with that it will not make you feel better, I had a crazy fast labor with #2
How long was your labor?
Baby #1 Active labor was about 6 hours, with irregular contrax for a while at home before that.
Baby #2 Total labor 1 hour 7 minutes, from the first major contraction to the time the baby was born. 4 minutes from the time I got to the L&D floor to when she was born. Crazy fast!
Baby #1: from first contraction to birth...30 hours.
Baby #2: 24 hours
Baby #3: I knew something was off in the morning, vomitting, headache. But contractions didn't start until a little after noon. A was born at 9:41pm. Once active labor came it came fast with #3. 3 hours to be exact. I showed up at the hospital at 7pm at 9cm.
Baby #1- Admitted to the hospital around 2pm on Monday, delivered at 6:42pm the NEXT day. I say that I was in labor for 28 hours. DH says that it was more like 3 days because I was laboring at home for awhile without much progress.

Baby #2: induced at 1pm born 10:47 pm
ETA: pitocin on both births, already dilated to 2 on both when induced for preeclampsia
I have a history of rapid labor.

#2: Got to the hospital at 10am at 4cm, had him at 12:30pm (so 2.5 hours at the hospital).
