I use a Cuisinart model that has a gluten free setting, as well as many other settings. It's wonderful! I have a great book (Gluten Free Baking Classics for the Bread Machine by Annalise G. Roberts) that is GF but also has egg free, dairy free recipes in it. When I'm feeling super lazy I just buy a boxed mix and still use the machine. It's awesome. You pour in the wet ingredients, top with dry, set and go. I tend to stick around to help it mix (I find otherwise I get flour in the corners) and to pull out the mixer before it bakes so I don't have holes in my bread. About four hours later, fresh bread and your house smells amazing! Much cheaper than buying and it tends to be a better texture as well. I usually slice mine and freeze it, as it doesn't tend to last as long out as other breads, maybe 3 days. Have fun!

I haven't been able to find any gluten free bread recipes or boxes that I like or turn out good. Would you mind sharing which ones your use? I'd love to make some fresh bread
I love my breadmaker; it is a zojirushi. The Pamela's mix isn't bad. But I like this recipe better: https://www.food.com/recipe/Gluten-Free-Flax-Bread-190906. Every time I make it I change it a little and it has always turned out nice.
I don't have a bread slicer -- just the pampered chef bread knife. It works fine.
I don't use a bread maker. I use a recipe in the The Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book. I substitute water for yogurt in the "Loaf for Learning" recipe and it is delicious!
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!
DS#2 - Allergic to Cashew, Pistachio, Kiwi
DS#3 - Allergic to Milk, Egg, Peanut, Tree Nuts and Sesame
I use Gluten Free Pantry and King Arthur's GF Bread Mix. Both are great. Actually, all of both of those lines are great! I never have trouble slicing them, so I just use a bread knife. It is easier to slice when fresh, however!
I use a bread machine for all steps (mixing, rising, kneading) but bake it off in the oven - it cooks much more evenly and makes a lovely bread. I keep it in the same pan as the bread machine, just pop it into the oven.
This might sound weird, but GoodWill and those shops always have a bunch donated and they are super duper cheap - and hardly used. I would recomend something like that to get started.
I make my own bread to save money and because I like it better but it doesn't need to be GF. My Dad's GF can't have gluten and is a foodie. I have a book called Healthy Bread in 5min a Day. It has a GF chapter. I have never made any of the GF ones but the rest are super easy and you don't really need any special tools. My Dad's GF says the bread is great and tastes the same and regular bread.

I use a really good recipe from MSPI mama:
3 Cups self rising flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 12oz beer (the lighter the beer, the sweeter the bread...I use a pretty dark one)
Mix all together and bake at 375 for 50-55 minutes.
Sooooo easy and super yummy!
