I'm really very early on in my pregnancy (~4 wks) but my sisters back in Washington state had really excellent experiences with their midwives and with home births. That's something I'm very interested in, but I don't really know how to go about searching for a midwife. I clearly have lots of time to search, but I'd like to get started earlier rather than later.
Ask! I found mine by asking friends who they used, and asked ladies I went to school with that worked in labor and delivery who they liked to work with! I absolutely loved the midwives and if it wasn't for them I would have had a c-section!
