Is there a certain amount of days after the trigger shot that I am supposed to wait before testing? Can it cause false positives? I got a + on an IC this morning at 7 DPO. I emailed my Dr but I am not patient enough to wait around for his answer.
TIA
Re: Question on Trigger shot and + HPT at 7DPO
If hcg is still in your system from the trigger it will come up positive. I think you are supposed to wait at least 12 days post shot, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
my RE will not even acknowledge a positive HPT until 16dpo.
Trigger can remain in people varying lengths of time. That is why if you want to test early - you need to have tested out the trigger. At 7dpo, it's likely that you are getting the HCG from the trigger still.

Now that you've started peeing on things early, you may want to pee every day and "test out" the trigger. If your HPT becomes negative then positive, you can resume being excited.
