Publix is where we got Button's 1st Birthday cake. If you're a member of the Publix Baby Club, you get a free small cake for the 1st birthday. That's what we used as the smash cake. Then we ordered a bigger one for the family to eat. So yummy!
A local bumpie Karin Agard makes delicious cakes and can create any kind of design that you want. There is also Kelly Kakes or Cakes By Darcy. Metrotainment Bakery will deliver to any of their restaurants, and there is a Hudson Grill on Main Street.

Ditto Karin Agard. Her cakes are yummy. I think her bump name is pecs wife. Also, ditto on Kelly Kakes. You can't go wrong with any of the above choices, really.

Ditto Karin, she did Everett's and it was awesome!
I have a hard time with bakeries in Atlanta (I am obsessed with cake and pastry and am very, very picky). I usually drive to Athens to get a cake when I have a really special occasion. But I like Southern Sweets in Decatur OK for a traditional Southern-style layer cake. And I had a very good lemon cake from Gabriel's (in Marietta) recently. Also, since you said you are in Alpharetta, I have heard Tasty Pastry (on Jones Bridge) is good-- Matty Cakes in midtown used to be good, and I *think* some of the people from there collaborate with this new bakery.

I started buying cakes from Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta about 5 years ago. A little expensive but they are pretty and taste great. Alpine supplies cakes to a lot of other restaurants like Ippolitto's. https://alpinebakeryandtrattoria.com/
I also like Harry's cakes and Publix.

We used Metrotainment and their cupcakes were phenominal! The buttercream icing had a slight hint of saltiness in there that was just amazing.
I also love a good ol' Costco cake, we use them for all of our office parties and they're super reasonable.
