'What is worse a natural birth or c-section?"

That is what the preview for The Doctors today just said. Apparently the title of the show is "What is worse" and they are going to discuss which option is more risky and they said "the answer might surprise you". I just set it to record just because I am curious what they are going to say. The title of the show is quite off putting though. If you are going to be talking about birth maybe you could use the phrase "which is better" instead of "which is worse".

I hate that show and I really can't stand Dr. Lisa. Did you see the recent episode about water births? Dr. Lisa was so aggresive. They had a midwife on the show and she wouldn't even let her speak. They are opposed any type of natural birthing practices. I'll still watch, but I know it's going to make me very angry!

It wouldn't on the show if they weren't going to say C-sections are better. What's better eating your fruit and veggies or getting shot in the face? Obviously fruits and veggies so that wouldn't make the show.

I'm getting so angry just THINKING about the show! I HATE THESE "doctors!"

I'm pretty sure Dr. Lisa would say it for free...she seems to spew vaginal birth = dangerous all the time. On this show she keeps referring to vaginal birth as "the old-fashioned way"

Oh joy... They just discussed pregnant pole dancing and pregnant beauty pageants. Other than saying that pregnant pole dancing can be dangerous due to falling, overexerting, etc it really had no medical links at all.

Wow, just watched it online. How horrable and one sided! She basicly sd that C/S was easier to recover from because with natural birth (the "old fashioned way") you could tear strait though to your rectum if you don't have and epistiotomy (sp?). WTF! At least all of the online comments on their web site were totally against what she had just said and were reaming her.

Wow, does she have a medical degree? That's pretty crazy. If anyone knows where she did her residency, I think the Bumpies on the local board for that hospital's area should know that's the kind of training she received.

Ya, they did a good job of summing it up. Ugh, thank god for midwives and doulas. I seriously wonder how this show is still on the air or why people wanna watch this. It is basically just drama.

Everything I have ever heard is that you could tear straight through your rectum IF you have an episiotomy. I know BOBB and Pregnant in America are a little one sided to the other extreme, but drs telling pg women crap about c-sections being a "healthier" choice is the reason why I'm grateful for that other opinion.

WTH? I had a third degree tear and everything feels perfectly normal again. A friend's c-section scar from the same time period never healed correctly and she still has problems with it now.

This show sounds idiotic.
