High Chair rebellion update

I pulled out a booster seat that I had purchased when I went to visit my sister with Baby Handy. It turned out to be a much better height so I could push him up to the table

He ate so much better and really enjoyed eating at the table. The only problem is he likes to push his food off the table. I guess we need a little bowl or something. Do they make them so they stick to the table? Because I know he will flip over any bowls we set on the table.

Thanks so much for the advice! It was great to sit and eat in relative peace.

Re: High Chair rebellion update

  • Glad to hear the rebellion may have ended peacefully! :)

They do make bowls that suction to the table but be sure to read the reviews on them b/c most of them don't work well.

  • We have a suction bowl, but M can remove it VERY easily, so there's basically no point. We put only a little bit of food in front of him at a time, and if he finishes it, we give him more. It prevents him from throwing too much food on the floor at once.

  • Yay!  We have one suction cup bowl from Williams Sonoma and it doesn't work well on our wood table.  We used a lot of the plastic plates with dividers when DD was that age.
  • We clean our floors.....a lot.  I swear the 4yo is only just getting better at not making as big of a mess.  It is amazing how long true table manners take in kids that aren't natural neat freaks.
