I just hit the 13 week mark last Friday and we have yet to tell anyone we are expecting. I am hoping to wait until at least 20 weeks when we know if we are having a boy or girl. Also I have a close relative who is due within the next month and I'd prefer to let her have the focus for the next couple of months as this is her first also. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting as long as possible and how you reached that decision.
Re: Is anyone still keeping it a secret?
I won't hit 11 weeks until tomorrow, and we have a dr's appointment tomorrow. After that, assuming all goes well, we'll begin to tell our closest friends & family this weekend. Think we might keep it off FB, Twitter, casual friends & coworkers until Thanksgiving at least (13wks), but it might be hard once we tell a couple people! As for right now, I'm really enjoying not getting tons of unsolicited advice.
I've told some online friends and my women's Bible study at Church but we haven't told any family or other friends or made announcements on FB or our family blog yet. I have my first u/s tomorrow and then we leave to go see our families (we live out of state) this weekend and will tell them then and then I'm hoping my MIL will keep her mouth shut long enough to keep it a secret until we make our public announcement after Thanksgiving
With my first two pregnancies we told pretty much right away so its been weird to have it a secret - especially from my mom - so long! Though I admit its been kind of fun to build up the suspense of surprising everyone!

The only person who knows other than my DH is the midwife office. We are telling our family over Thanksgiving (seeing them in-person) and will let it slip to DH's coworkers probably right afterwards. I'm starting a new job in Dec, so I'm hoping to hold off a few weeks so I don't drop a bomb right away.
It's actually not as hard as I thought it would be, although I've been working crazy long hours at my current job and haven't seen friends much in the past few weeks so I haven't had to deal with happy hours/not drinking or someone noticing my tummy is a little puffy. I think people just think I'm getting chubby from working so much and not making it to the gym.
We had the NT scan, everything looked good. We kind of like having this little secret that nobody knows about, but I doubt I could make it to 20 weeks (that would be Christmas for me) - I'm petite and pretty sure I will start showing shortly after my new job starts. Good luck!
+ 9/3/11, due May 2012. overdue baby born healthy!
+ 8/3/15, natural m/c @ 5wks
+ 1/4/16, due 9/14/16
Most of my famly knows - there are some aunts/uncles/cousins on my dad's side that I am waiting until Saturday to tell because I wanted to tell them in person and they live farther away (so we are all getting together on Saturday). My MIL's family knows (we are close with them, my husband's cousin lives right down the street with his family) and my FIL will get to tell his family himself after our NT scan on Friday. As long as all goes as we are planning with the NT scan on Friday, we will "go public" on Monday, which involves me telling my friends at work (my bosses know), my husband telling his friends at work (his boss knows) and then coming out on Facebook (which I am pretty excited about as I have a big "fan base" expecting me to get pregnant any day now LOL).
Some of my close friends have known from the beginning, because they also know our ttc and IF history and I knew I would need their support if things went bad. We're going to tell our families at Thanksgiving. Not sure when we'll come out to our more extended group of friends on FB.
I couldn't hold it in. I told one of my best friends at about 7w (only because she called me to tell me about her bfp). After that, we told another best friend and our parents in the next few weeks.
We haven't told extended family and I just told one boss yesterday....
It won't be "facebook official" to the world until Thanksgiving weekend!
BFP #1 6/28/11 ~ EDD 3/7/12 ~ m/c 7/15/11 at 6w2d
BFP #2 8/29/11 ~ EDD 5/12/12. 4/25/12: Our take home baby is here!
BFP #3 8/27/13 ~ EDD 5/11/14. 4/27/14: Our second take home baby is here!
Yeah, this!
There is no way that at 20 weeks people won't know you're pregnant just by looking at you so, personally, I feel it's kind of weird to NOT tell people.

That's great for you! We told our close friends and family around 11 weeks but we are not planning to post it on FB or anything until 18 weeks. 4 more weeks to go. Can't wait!
I'm 11w2d, and so far, we've told our immediate families, a couple close friends, and my bosses b/c I was having really bad nausea and m/s.
I don't know if we're planning to do like a FB announcement, or call people, or what. We honestly haven't talked about "going public" in great detail, other than to say we will wait to tell the whole wide world until we hit 13 weeks.
I still haven't made it public knowledge. I've told family and select friends, but not work/acquaintances.
I'm putting it off as long as possible since I only just went back to work in mid-October from my last maternity leave!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK on keeping it a secret that long!
I just told everyone last week when I was 11 weeks along and half of them said something to the effect of, "We have been eyeing you for weeks but were afraid to ask."
You will really be showing by 20 weeks!!!
