? for those whose water broke before labor started

My water didn't break until late into active labor with DS1. I'm just curious if any of you felt any different before your water broke, or if you could tell that it was coming. I'm feeling a strange sensation low low low, almost like I am leaking, but nothing is actually coming out. if that makes any sense. I see my OB tomorrow morning and I will definitely be talking to her about it...

    Nope, no warning at all - turned over in bed, felt the pop and knew it was coming so I sprinted to the bathroom. Luckily it wasn't far ;)

    I felt a tiny bit of cramping that night. When I used the restroom I had a little bit of blood...then...wooosh...water poured! Since our LO was breech, they said the head wasn't there to help block the water flow.

    Let us know how your appointment goes...if you make it. ;)

    With C I was induced and my OB broke my water. With the twins I had a backache all day long, then lost my plug in the evening and my water broke a little while later. It wasn't the huge gush that I would have expected, more of a trickle, so I wasn't sure if it was really A's water breaking or if I was just peeing myself. The contractions that followed soon after sealed it for me.

    I was a little off, nauseoused and crampy during the day.  I was in early labor, but didn't know it since in my head I was preparing for a planned c/s a few days later (baby was breech.) Water broke later that evening...

    Thanks for all of the input ladies. I just got back from my appt, and my OB said that if there's nothing running down my legs, I'm good. She also did a quick u/s and his head is super low which I'm sure is why I'm having all of these pains and sensations too.

    no warning for me either.  It's pretty common to be more moist than normal toward the end of any pregnancy.  Some people do have their bag rupture at the top though, so it just comes as a small trickle instead of a burst.
