Periods?

How soon did you get one after a c/s?  I had just stopped bleeding for a few days and then started again with some cramps.  The next day it was bright red blood so I'm thinking it's my period but then it goes back to brown again.  I thought it was kinda soon for a period (c/s 5 weeks ago) especially since I'm BFing.  I hope the bright red blood doesn't mean anything's wrong.

    Having a c/s does not affect your PP AF. Some girls get it right away and some don't get it for over a year, regardless of how you give birth, and whether or not you bf.

    I am 5 months 1 weeks pp and EBF and have yet to get mine back.  I am in no hurry to see it again!

    You know, the exact same thing happened to me and I just figured at the time it was continued postpartum bleeding because I was EBFing, but then at nine weeks PP I got a real period and was regular after that.  I have no idea if the bleeding at five weeks was a very early period - I still think that's crazy early but I guess it's possible.  I don't think having a c/s is supposed to affect when you get your first period, but the bleeding afterward can be sporadic, so it can make it more difficult to tell if your bleeding is a period or not.

    I know having a c/s doesn't change when your period starts but being sliced open and starting to bleed weeks later is kind of alarming!  My incision didn't heal up right so I'm just hoping everything is ok on the inside.
