I had an amazing shower yesterday... I got the Rock & Play, a check for a pack n play, and a bassinet offered by my FI's mom's best friend that has been used. Which are you going to use? DD#1 slept AMAZINGLY in the pNp newborn napper part for a few months, and it is great for trips, so I think regardless of whether I use one of the others at home, I will still buy a pNp with the check. What about the Rock & Play vs Bassinet? We don't have alot of space, so I was thinking Rock & Play would be great for at night, but with all the talk about it causing flat heads... Maybe I should get all 3 and that way she can nap in the Rock & Play and we can try sleeping in the bassinet? What would you do?

Re: Rock & Play, Pack N Play, or Bassinet?
I think if you have a PNP a bassinet is pointless unless you want you want to put baby in your room and the PNP wont fit or something. But they are the exact same thing IMO.
I would definitely still use the RNP. Ive had 4 of my brand new mommy friends tell me their LO wont sleep in ANYTHING else!
I personally have a RNP and an Arms Reach Co Sleeper (like a mini PNP with a drop down side that sits flush with the bed for easy reaching at night. The side also comes back up if you need it to). I dont have a PNP but both my parents and ILs do so I dont think Ill really need one.

I love the idea that the rock and play is easy for travel. My DS slept in the swing for the first 6 months. We didn't even turn it on most of the time but he had reflux and he slept so much better at an angle. However it was @)#(*$ ) to pack and bring anywhere.
I'd probably get all 3 mostly because my DS was a horrible sleeper and I would do whatever it takes to get my kid to sleep.
