Still breastfeeding, no period yet, and cramping

HELP! I'm not sure if I need to check-in with my Ob/Gyn, so I thought I'd check here first. I've been breastfeeding for almost 7 months and have not had any signs of my period returning. Over the past week my belly has been cramping, moreso than not. Prepregnancy, the day I experienced cramping was always the day Aunt Flo would make her appearance. I'm not sure what's going on, but if she's returning I just wish she would hurry up already. Since cramping was my first sign of pregnancy, that did cross my mind. Don't laugh, but my husband and I bought a cheapie dollar store test, took it on Friday, and no baby. I'm puzzled. Has anyone else experienced this post pregnancy?

    I'm still breastfeeding and haven't had my first period yet. I've had a bunch of days when I've had cramping and could have sworn I was going to start, but nothing. Not that I'm complaining. Sorry you don't feel well. Hope it gets better soon.

    I have had this too! I have been EBF since my son was born almost 7 months ago. A few weeks ago I started cramping really badly. It only happens once a week or so and AF still hasn't shown up. I am kind of hoping she will soon because my DH and I want to start trying for number 2 in April and I don't want to wean to do it :) Its funny I have never wished for AF before!

    BFP #2: CP 5/2012
    DS2: 4/24/2013
    BFP #4: Miscarriage at 5 weeks 7/2014
    BFP #5: 8/8/2014 Due 4/20/2015 
    Its a healthy girl!!!!!

    I just had this occur last week. No period yet and noticed a lot of cramping over a couple mornings, I thought maybe it was coming, but nothing has happened as of yet!

    This is me as well.  Thought to myself today that I should be getting my period since I was so crampy.....no period but have had some cramping on and off for 2 months!  I am happy that I haven't had a period, but I would like to think I could get pregnant when we want to at about a year since her birth!  Well I will take it now though!

    I've had the same thing, even on occasion accompanied by spotting, but it never goes anywhere.
